So, pretty happy, I now have a job lined up for when I graduate. I got a nice job offer from BAE systems in NH. Now I've only got to make it through this semester, which shouldn't be too difficult. I also figured out that I would be able to go to a concert in NY that I thought I wouldn't be able to go to. And I get to go see Blueman group in Portland thanks to Jenn. :glomp:

Title: A Rambling Proposal on the Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Well, one of my friends ran into a spot of trouble tonight, which sparked a comment from me to them, then while in the shower, I decided that it was now time to do this. Expanding on that comment, oftentimes engineers (thats my major in Uni) do not let others know of their beliefs and tenants, this is very true for me. In writing this, I am letting my mind wander where it may, rambling of what I have synthesized through my life, be it school, games, anime, or work. I leave this now to my mind, which currently rests, if you will, on the border between light and dark, teetering ever closer into the abyss (I really need sleep) Sparked on by the events of the evening, we shall now begin.

ON THE NATURE OF HIGHER POWERS
Mankind has always wondered, whether or not he is truly in control of his own destiny. This being said, I believe that through life there is indeed a higher power out there. Whether one believes though an organization, or as an individual, I feel that this power is the same for all. I shall prefer to call it FATE, but other my go by GOD, ALLAH, BUDDHA, ZEN, GAIA, or any other, it makes no difference. This power, is not here to directly intervene, merely, it has created the blueprint, and given us the tools we need to create, modify, or destroy it as we see fit. Humanity has free will over their actions. This can then be scaled down to an individual level, with each person having these powers themselves. This is key. HUMANITY AND THE INDIVIDUAL HAVE THE POWER OF FREE WILL. The higher power may from time to time offer their advice, through what we call OPPORTUNITY, and also let us know of our mistakes, called HINDSIGHT. Everybody know the saying "Opportunity only knocks once" however, this can be misleading. Though the precise event where one can choose a certain path to follow only happens once, this event is often preceded by many other smaller events, each leading to this common point. In order for any particular path to be chosen, certain choices and actions must have been taken for us to realize this. These smaller opportunities each combine to create a greater whole, which when finally realized, is often attributed to an higher power, when in actuality, it was the choices that individuals, and then groups, and maybe even humanity as a whole had decided. Nothing but the self, not even the higher powers, can control the decisions that an individual makes. When an individual forgets this, they become merely a pawn in a game, ignorant of the choices around them. It is up to the other individuals to help the pawn to be freed from the masters bidding, to once again realize they're potential, and the myriad of opportunity around them. Unfortunately, opportunity is often missed, found only with hindsight, which is said to be "20/20". It is only later that many choices reveal that which could have turned out differently. Fortunately, there is one power that guides us unerringly, and that is TIME. While mistakes of the past cannot be undone, those of the future can be identified, and avoided, with the result being that the other path was chosen. Given enough time, any choice can be undone, and any dream can be realized. This will become complicated when one individual desires that actions on the part of another be taken, and these dreams must be mutual in order to come to full fruition. That which we call GOD, or any other name, is the manifestation of the will of the human spirit.

ON LIGHT AND DARKNESS
In the world, there is light (purity, etc) and darkness (sin, immorality, etc). Light cannot exist without darkness, and so in man, there is always the potential for sin. Despair, envy, jealousy, and all the others will forever hold sway over the hearts of man. Conversely, darkness cannot exist without light, bringing forth hope, joy, and happiness. These too will be with us always. Now then, the question is, which shall each individual choose. This actions that one takes, along with the belief in their will, will tip the balance towards the light, as long as their cause is true. Why then does there exist evil in the world, as each individual could choose to be in the light? Evil often is disguised as good, with the individual believing their cause to be for the greater good. This is the first step towards conflict, as no one can force their will upon another. This act tips the balance towards darkness, and the calamities that it brings. In order to return to the light, other individuals must recognize this, and act, not letting opportunity slip by. The individual must realize that there is ALWAYS hope, and the better future that it brings. Chance, is apparently random because it relies on the infinite different action that an infinite number of individuals could have taken, with each choice focusing an event to a certain conclusion.

Well, that sums up the bulk of it. For those with ADD
Only you can choose your own actions
There is always hope
Given enough time, mistakes can be undone
In times of darkness, look to those around you

On other miscellaneous things, this is my weigh in on evolution and creation.
At the beginning, the higher power laid down the framework for which evolution to take place mostly through science, such as DNA. Sometimes, great leaps were made, resulting from the will of the initiator, along with the correct timing of choices that were made.

There will probably be more later, but thats all that my brain can handle for now, Im beginning not to be able to spell correctly.

For the one who this is geared at, I hope the best to you. What if two people had not been invited at the last minute? What if a backpack had not been left behind? These small and subconscious choices led a possible catastrophe away from the edge of the abyss. There will always be those around you willing to lend you their strength. These events are tanged in an infinite web, which only time can reveal. Let your actions lead you to dream.

Well, works going well, even though I have never done any of this stuff before. Though GUI design isn't too bad, its that backend that sucks.

At my dad's plant, things got fux0rd, so I get a free trip to FL at the end of the summer to help fix it, though I still don't know whats wrong, other than that it has to do with computers.

Gaming is good, we just started a campaign with by friend Sam, it will be good times. Dan and I just did some H2 on LIVE, it was good time. I proved that PB & J beats "I am invincible" as a war cry any day.

This week has been crazy times. Spend most of the weekend doing HW, then Monday afternoon was total pandemonium, as I was TA's a freshman programming lab, while trying to fix a circuits lab that was due at 4 that I learned was incorrect at 2. Well, that got over with, and Tuesday was better, aka in control. Halo 2 went really well tonight though, and we had a great game of Assault in Zanzibar.

I have returned, hopefully
